Throughout my entire life
All I looked for is Perfection .
A person who is so perfect
That she perceives the expectations of the people around her
And goes out of the way to fulfill them, Believing that it would make everyone around happy.
With a strong conviction that
When everyone is happy in her proximity She can easily extract
Her happiness from them.
For years I too have been playing
A role of a perfect daughter,
a perfect wife,
A perfect daughter in law and a perfect mother.
In the pursuit of fitting into their moulds,
all I lost was my originality, my dreams,
my passions and my emotions.
And eventually I turned out
Into a human operated by a
Mechanised system or you can say a robot with others having the remote control.
As years passed a realisation knocked
that I was not able to reap what I expected
As I sowed the seeds on the land which does not belong to me.
It made me ponder…
Is it really wise to forgo
Our own happiness by trying
To be perfect in someone else's life?
That's the day I reengineered my thoughts and started believing
It's perfectly fine to follow your dreams
It's perfectly fine to have all the cream
It's perfectly fine to quench your thirst
It's perfectly fine to keep yourself first.
It's perfectly fine to leave some job unfinished
It's perfectly fine to be the first one to be replenished
It's perfectly fine to take due rest
It's perfectly fine NOT to be the BEST.
It's perfectly fine to raise your voice
It's perfectly fine to make your own choice
It's perfectly fine if they don't understand you
It's perfectly fine if you no longer have the NEED to.
It's perfectly fine to have some Defect
It's perfectly fine to be IMPERFECT!
