The Journey commences on a glorious night with full moon hanging in the sky accompanied by thousands of bright twinkling stars. It was absolutely dark inside the bus, as the curtains rolling down the windows, veiled even the glimpse of intensely magical moonlight. All the co-passengers were in deep sleep, oblivious to the splendid view outside which was enough to make one feel alive giving a cloud nine experience. Awestruck I gazed at the mystical night view which was evidently visible from my window seat.

I was indeed fascinated by the captivating view bestowed by nature and clueless started flowing with the huge river of thoughts which eventually drew me in the ocean of frozen memories which somehow appeared to be melting in the heat of the moment. Apparently, the moon staring from heights winked at me as if apprising me that like many other love stories, I am bystander to your love story as well. I escorted you from the time when you were blooming like a flower with pearly dew drops of love on it; till the dried flower leaves were blown away by cool yet stiff breeze and you were left empty handed drenched in drizzling tears wrapped with overflowing emotions.

Every story has a climax though only few privileged ones are blessed to experience the jubilant end; unfortunately I didn’t belong to that tribe. Not being an exception to the normal human psychology, I also kept sailing in the fantasy world and daydreamt about a companion, with whom I will reach an ecstatic state, where no griefs and worries can even wander around. I envisaged being with someone, who will tolerate my weirdo behavior, at the same time handle the mature side of me with high proficiency. Though lately I realized that my prince charming wasn’t coming on the white horse, he was probably taking a ride on turtle somewhere really confused where to go.

Adi that’s what everyone called him, he was supposedly the most energetic, dynamic and high spirited boy of our class. He displayed active participation in organizing and conducting non-scholastic activities and various events in our institute. With his magnetic personality he was able to attract every Tom, Dick and Harry and certainly even after giving so many trials I failed to play exceptionally.  As time passed I moved towards him in full swing like string escorts the kite reflexively, and by the time I discerned, we were flying high with a euphoric sense of freedom in the cloudless blue sky accompanied by the flock of birds which appeared to admire us ecstatically. The whole world looked so small and futile in the sight of our elevated flying spirits.

Before he took a wild card entry, I led a confined life in my own empty nest. It was only after he instilled energy in me; I spread my wings and explored the unrestricted beauty which surrounded us. We wished to be with each other till our last breath and dreamt of discovering new heights by gliding together gracefully over the spherical waves and rapid tides offered by the ocean of life. However flying ceaselessly is not feasible and after experiencing all the thrill of an adventurous flight, landing on ground is the hard truth which we all have to accept.

If all what we wish is crafted in reality, the world would become a fairy tale, we playing the role of Prince Charming and Cinderella. Regrettably our wish ranked highest in the list of unfulfilled dreams. In a stroke we landed on ground and soon the realization came that in spite of safe landing and displaying all maturity to comprehend the circumstances, we were incompetent to come out of the charismatic escapade. We had a strong conviction that life always offers what is best for our growth; so instead of getting stuck there in stagnant waters, we decided to be the part of the flowing river. We chose to fly as we never wanted to crawl like a snail, but the only thing that changed was we were now moving in different directions.

Some people may not stay with us forever but the memories of the time spent together are cherished till eternity. And every time we take a dive in the bottom of the sea we find that the tranquil surface is surprisingly so noisy at the lowest point, though it is covered up with so many layers that the uproar of waves is bottled-up keeping the peripheral serenity intact. As the driver hit the brakes abruptly, I took a rapid ascent from the deepest part of the ocean of thoughts where I was diving, searching for pearls of memories; which left me numb for couple of minutes, causing the state of decompression sickness.

I found myself in catch 22 situation where an ironical smile graced my face and the air of melancholy surrounded me. As I peeked out of the window, I perceived that since years star studded sky accessorized by the bright silvery moon was my only companion, evidently smiling and convincing me; wherever you go I will follow. I will constantly be with you in your delightful yet adventurous JOURNEY.

Spellbound I was enjoying every moment and felt I can go miles and miles without being edgy about the destination. Travelling makes you feel ALIVE!
