Who doesn’t want to look beautiful?
Who doesn’t want to be appreciated and admired?
Who doesn’t want to feel confident and smart?
Who doesn’t want to lead a contended life?
Surely, we all and we put in lot of efforts for the same. We do exercises, yoga and meditation, make frequent visits to beauty parlors, buy expensive clothes and jewelry and lot many other things so that we can just get appreciation from others. But have we ever thought where does real beauty lie and how one can get it? Is it in expensive clothes, diamond jewelry, perfect body shape, long hair, fair color or in something else? We meet many people in our life who are not that beautiful by looks but still we find them very attractive and appealing.
Now the question is what is that which makes us more attractive and can give us more appreciation and admiration than doing all these tantrums. After facing many events in my life and after meeting several people whom I still admire and remember I have come to a conclusion that there are 3 P’s which can help us to get the desired appreciation and satisfaction, their presence makes us complete and abundant. We must simply imbibe these three qualities in ourselves and feel the difference.
- Be Patient
- Be Polite
- Be Powerful (Firm)
Be Patient:
What do we do when something happens which we really don’t like or when someone doesn’t behave as per our expectations? Most of the times we react immediately and make sure that they change and start behaving the way we want them to behave. We start telling them the do’s and don’ts of life. Is this the right way? Just because we dislike something or some behavior we consider it as wrong and simply loose our patience and tolerance power. We are not bothered about the reasons for that behavior and become adamant.
Instead of being so obstinate we should observe the actions and behavior patiently without being judgmental and biased. We should not be very reactive. We all are here on our own journey, just because we are sharing our compartment with someone doesn’t mean that he is alike me. Rather we should be quite and stop judging people based on our thoughts because everyone has their own set of beliefs. Try to handle even the most complicated and difficult situations with patience and see the miracle.
Be Polite:
How do we react when someone commits any mistake? Aren’t we harsh and rude? We are not ready to accept him even if he apologizes for his mistake. We keep no room for words like apology, forgiveness or love. We loose our temper and become so arrogant that we can even harm that person physically for his misdeeds. How can we be so rigid about our beliefs that we don’t value someone else’s emotions? We should realize that if that person is courageous enough to admit his mistakes, he’ll surely not repeat the same if forgiven with a warm heart, otherwise things may take worse shape. When we expect others to understand us why shouldn’t we also.
We always accept polite advices and not strict orders given by others. So let’s be polite and humble and win the hearts by our sweet smile.
Be Powerful (Firm):
How do we present our opinion in front of people? Are we confident in whatever we are saying? Usually we are not sure about what we are saying and how people will react to it. Hence we loose our confidence and we become half hearted in whatever we do or say. We need to have resolute determination in whatever we do. We should be confident enough in presenting our view points irrespective of what others think. We should be capable of taking our decisions and living with it whatever may be the consequences. Once we have decided what to do, we should pursue it with patience inspite of all the hurdles coming in way.
Being patient and polite doesn’t mean that we are unconvincing or unenthusiastic. Being firm here doesn’t mean physical strength; it means strength of thoughts, character and actions. The power will make us someone who dream big and then toil day and night with full passion, love, enthusiasm and patience to fulfill those dreams.
These three P’s together makes you A Beautiful You. A person, who is loved, admired and appreciated by everyone. A person who fights and achieves everything in life, with a grace on face and not grievances!
